Consultation Meeting

Prior to our initial meeting, a Aromatherapy Questionnaire is completed and brought to our meeting. This questionnaire requests detail about your current medical history and lifestyle.  This information is necessary to select the appropriate essential oils for the maximum benefit.

The first consultation session usually lasts approximately one to 1.5 hours. After your assessment is reviewed, we begin to focus on your healing goals.  Once your aroma preferences are determined an individualized blend is then prepared for you. In addition, a holistic healing plan that guides you to reach those goals is developed.

It is suggested that your Individualized Blend be reviewed at least once a month to reflect the health and lifestyle changes. Another appointment can be scheduled before you leave. Subsequent sessions last approximately one hour.

» More About How Aromatics Works
Essential oils extracted life-force energy of plants (roots, wood, resins, leaves, stems, flowers, fruit and seed) stimulate emotion and memory through the sense of smell. Essential oils can also enter our bodies through the skin e.g., body or foot bath, skin lotion, and massage (self- or whole body), and have an effect on overall health. The essential oils are absorbed through skin pores and hair follicles and enter bloodstream capillaries and circulate throughout the body.  Different scents have different affinities for different parts of the body. Therefore, the physiologic actions e.g., antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, pain relief, increase blood flow, detoxification, relaxation, anti-depressant, of essential oils can be very specific or general. When essential oils are combined e.g., blends, their effects are synergistic i.e., work together to create an more powerful effect than when either essential oil is applied alone.

» About Colour Aromatics
Colour Aromatherapy combines the use of colour and aroma for healing (harmonizing & balancing). Colour Aromatherapy is a form of energy medicine because colour and aroma have special qualities that allow them to act in a physical but also a metaphysical way. The reason for this is that you can see colour with your eyes e.g., rainbow colours but at the same time colour exists in an invisible form e.g., infrared, ultraviolet light rays in sunlight.

Each essential oil has a colour associated with it. Since colour is frequency, the essences have a frequency associated with it. One colour e.g., green energy from leaves may be predominant or it may have many colours associated with it. This is influenced by the geography and growing conditions of the plant and the part of the plant that is extracted/distilled e.g., roots, stems, flowers, to create the essential oil. In addition to the life-force energy of the plant, the rays of sunlight and moonlight and the elements of earth, water, fire (including sunlight), and air are also naturally infused in the plants' essences i.e., Heaven and earth energies combined in the plant essences. Since we share those same elements we are all connected in ways that we are often not aware or conscious of. Using essential oils is an opportunity to reconnect with the consciousness of plants to bring about profound healing.

The combination of colour and aroma opens up a number of possible options in wellness care. For example, to create a mood elevating blend, one would use essential oils that have a orange colour ray energy associated with it e.g., mandarin, patchouli, ginger. To create an anti-inflammatory and/or anti-bacterial blend, one would use essential oils that colour ray energies in the blue plus spectrum e.g., tea tree, roman chamomile. If a person is feeling "blue", a complementary colour e.g., orange blend would assist to uplift emotions.

As you can see, colour aromatherapy can also be used to create health and beauty products, including colour-based perfume blends, bath oils, body lotions and creams. It addition, it can be incorporated into other energy or vibrational healing methods such as sound and colour balancing modalities e.g., subtle aromatherapy, chakra balancing.
